Brentwood Half Marathon 2026

 Catherine's story...

On Sunday 22nd March, I’ll be lacing up my trainers and taking on 13.1 miles in the Brentwood Half Marathon to raise vital funds for the Southend High School for Boys Charitable Trust — a cause that is close to my heart.

As a proud parent of Billy, who is thriving in Year 7 at SHSB, I’ve seen first-hand the incredible environment the school provides for its students, and I want to use this opportunity to give something back.

Running has always been more than just exercise for me — it’s the time Billy and I head out together, side by side, putting the world to rights one mile at a time. Those runs with him are what remind me why I love this sport, and they’re exactly what will keep my legs moving when the going gets tough on race day.

If you can spare anything, please consider donating to the SHSB Charitable Trust — it would mean the world to us both.
